I know how tempting it is to prod and squeeze a fresh lump after getting dermal fillers, especially when you're staring at it in bad lighting. But aggressively rubbing it yourself is the absolute worst thing you can do. In the first couple of weeks, your tissue is just settling, and hyaluronic acid acts like a total sponge, drawing in water and making perfectly normal spots feel a bit hard or lumpy.
If you start squishing the area around, you risk shifting the gel out of its proper home, leaving you with a bit of a structural soup (e.g. making a bruise twice as bad). If it's just normal settling, it'll soften up on its own.
